Gymbo, Oh how i love thee!!!

I love Gymboree, not just love, but i drool over their clothing lines.
Quite frankly, the fact that 90% of what they carry falls into our "modest" clothing standard makes me love them that much more, modest clothing is such a challenge these days.
Its tasteful, well made, holds up to long term wear, and fits for more than one season!

When your child grows like mine, you find yourself buying completely new wordrobes every 4 months, if not sooner. So when theres a clothing line that will accomidate the modesty aspect, the growth aspect, and the quality aspect, you cant beat it.

For a while we did go with the cheaper costing/made clothing. At the checkout stand, it was less of a blow to the wallet, but in the long term, it wasnt a better buy. The clothes wore out TONS faster and they didnt fit nearly as long. We were back to buying new clothes more often than if we bought Gymbo or other higher quality lines.

I used to adore target stuff, but now that Klaire is in the girls sizes the clothes are more trampish/walmart style. I LOVED buying baby clothes from Walmart and Target, they were so cute and affordable! But like i said, as soon as she hit the girls sizing, everything got horribly short and branded with "Hannah Montana", "High School Musical", and "princesses". GAH!!!
Kreg and i feel strongly against our child becoming another companies walking billboard.

Some other clothing lines we love to death are:
Hanna Andersson, Under The Nile, Kiwi Industries, Sara Waldo, Hand Full, and a few WAHMs on Hyena Cart and Etsy.
But since Gymbo is so readily available, we tend to go with them first.

One of the other reasons i love Gymbo so much is because i can catch some really awesome deals there. Like today.
I snagged:
6 pairs of panties
4 hair accessories
3 Summer Dresses
5 Summer Short/Tank Top outfits
1 Short Sleeve Shirt/Leggings outfit for the fall/next spring.

Most of this was 20% off, but they are doing an additional 30% off of everything. And then, they still had thier 50% off racks full, so of course, i had to hit those with that 30% off deal as well.lol
The most expensive item was $20, but it was regularly nearly $38!! The rest of it ranged between the $5 and $10 mark. Some stuff was even down in the $2 and below range!

All of this she fits into now, plus with a little room to grow for next spring/summer. She has a complete wardrobe to last her through at least another year, maybe another year and a half.

This lot of clothes retail, without any discounts or anything, would have been $277.25, before taxes. I ended up paying $159 and some change before taxes. So thats a savings of about $118.
For clothes that are going to last *at least* another year to year and a half.

Plus, since it was Gymbucks time, i earned $75. In about a month, i go back, pick out $150 of clothing, and pay $75.
That works out good for us because when we go back to redeem the Gymbucks, thats when thier school uniforms will be out and i can pick up what she will need for school clothes! Last year, just between going to Walmart/Target for uniforms, i spent well beyond $75!lol

So, if/when you hit the sale/discount times at Gymbo, it can be a really great steal for really nice kids clothes.
