Seriously, im horrible about blogging for alot of reasons.
Some of it is because i hate putting myself out there.
The other part of it is that sometimes i just dont have much to say.
Another part of it is because i would rather knit and play with yummy yarn.
Anyhow.
Alot has happened with our little fmaily since my last update.
One of the biggest pieces of news has been that after 2 years of school (night school on top of working full time as well as family responsibilities and church stuff) and ALOT of hard work and sacrifice Kreg got a job promotion.
Klaire and i are so proud of him and all of his hard work, we deeply appreciate all of the sacrifices he makes for us. I wonder how i lucked out with him, seriously, there is no one who could do better for us.
I have learned ALOT in the last 2 years.
One thing being patience.
Patience with Kreg.
Patience with life.
Patience with Heavenly Father.
And patience in general.lol
Its been yet again, and incredibly humbling time for us. And im learning that humility isn't really a bad thing either.
I have learned that Heavenly Father *DOES* bless us (very bountifully i might add.....), but according to our faithfulness and obedience. I wonder alot how Heavenly Father loves me like he does after all of the doubt i have had that He really will carry us through.
This new job means so much for us.
Kreg has done an amazing job at making goals, working at them, and achieving them.
As a wife i cant tell you the amazing feeling it gives me to see my husband accomplish such hard goals, he blows me away with his determination and work ethic.
Most people dont get that in almost 4 years exactly Kreg has made HUGE leaps and bounds in his career with UTA.
He started out as a cleaner at the bottom of the totem pole.
Then within 9 months of employment he was promoted to management/admin, he became the Rail Fleet Control Supervisor. He did a stellar job! He was on call 24/7/365, there wasn't a trip we took or time off that he wasn't in some aspect still dealing with his job. He will leave BIG shoes to fill.
And now. Now he is an Electromechanic!
He is {with a deep sigh of relief} back into the bargaining unit as well. We love our unions! I'm trying to talk him into being a Shop Steward again, {as i snicker under my breathe}, but he is liking being able to be a normal Joe again and not having so much responsibility for a while.
He has made more income and progress than in all of his time in the airline industry. This job came at the perfect time for us and has been an incredible blessing for us. Without a doubt we see Heavenly Fathers hand in how this job came to us.
What made the news even more special was the fact that it was given to us by one of his old employees. She has been a gem to us and was there for us when i had my second back surgery. We also received the news Easter weekend.
Klaire is almost a 3rd grader now!! She has done an amazing job in school this year, we couldn't be prouder of her!
She loves to read, loves to move around, enjoys dirt and the outdoors, and she adores horses. She spends alot of her time creating things with whatever odds and ends we have in the house, she LOVES to paint, and she loves to draw and color. She is looking forward to entering some of her creations into the Utah State Fair again this year!
Back in April she had a loose tooth, it was so annoying to her that it wasn't coming out on its own. One day at school she got fed up with it and pulled it out on her own! She was so proud of herself when she told us. A day later another one came loose and now she is DYING to pull that one out too.lol
Her and i are looking forward to spending the summer together. We have A TON of summer plans and we hope to spend alot of time with my cousin and her adorable girls.
As for me, well, im doing like i always am. Good.
Ive been knittig for a while now and im loving it.
Ive made:
A TON of washcloths, all of mine from my wedding have worn out (they were crocheted and didn't hold up too well) so i replaced all of those.
And then i made Kreg a cap and muffler out of this really wonderful Ultra Alpaca, the set is so stretchy and soft! I just need to press the set and its ready for wear.
I had some of this delicious wool that my friend dyed up and i got 2 winter hats for Klaire out of it. They are darling! They match both of her winter coats perfectly. I just need to block those.
Ive made an Umbi hat.
I'm in the process of making Klaire a darling little Kimono top out of cotton.
I'm making myself a great little knitting bag out of Noro Kureyeon. Oh my. I want to sleep with it because its so pretty!
And then ill be casting on this pretty little ditty for me, its a scarf to go with a charcoal grey peacoat i have. Its Madelinetosh, its called "tart". I LOVE IT! Its the perfect red.
And then ive got a shawl for me that is waiting to go on some needles.
Once its all done ill be posting pictures.
Aside from knitting ive been making some stuff for Klaire's room. We refinished a old 1930's style dresser, ive made her a bow board, and a little lunch box tin to go on her headboard for all of her little treasures.
And then im mom. So i keep busy with Klaire's school, with home stuff, and anything else they need from me.
Anyhow this post is longer than i wanted.
I hope its a good enough update for now. Kreg is waiting for me to give him my time and attention now so i better end this now.
Ive been thinking of going offline for the summer. I'm not sure about it. But it'll be hard to fit in computer time with all of the traveling we have planned and with having Klaire home all day now. So we will see.
