I really should update. But im feeling BLAH about it all. I have a bad head cold and im feeling like a bit of a grouch.
Ive had some writers block and lack of motivation to update my blog.
Its partly due to privacy and a troll who has no life, and partly due to me needing to post a major amount of pictures. But uploading, reszing, copying, and pasting all of the links for the TONS of pictures i have is a bit daunting. And frankly, the last time i tried posting pictures it was the BIGGEST headache to do. And for why? So little Miss. Troll can go blab her mouth about stuff that's clearly NONE of her biz??!! Hmmm. I think not.
Alot has gone on since my last post.
My kid is now baptized. Yep folks, my kid is now a member of the LDS church! Let the brain washing commence! lol Its crazy to think that in 4 short years she will be doing Baptizms for the dead, then a few short years later she will be getting endowments for marriage or to go on a mission. I cant believe it!
It was a fabulous day, it was on her actual 8th birthday. We did hld a little private birthday party the night before for grandparents, and that was fun and interesting to say the least. I think it was funny too. But Klaire had alot of fun and had loads of fun with her grandparents.
We were surrounded by some amazing people, people who have really supported and loved us through the last 8 years. Aside from a little bit of craziness from Kreg's mom things went pretty well.
I cant tell you how amazing and wonderful it was to have Kreg baptize and confirm her. We've come such a long way! Klaire has this whole new sense of life, direction, and feelings that she didn't have before. Its amazing and scary all at the same time. Im super proud of Kreg too, we did all of that hard work in the first year of marriage so he could baptize and confirm her.
Klaire started 2nd grade.
And dude. Shes the best 2nd grader ever!
She keeps her teacher on her toes as she should, and her reading has really grown by leaps and bounds. Just through the summer alone she jumped like 5 reading levels!!! I'm very proud of her. Her math is coming along beautifully, her writing is taking on its own form which has been cool to see change.
Shes also in the school choir again and she loves it.
Shes so tall now! She loves wearing her glasses too. Shes turning into such a great and beautiful young lady.
In the upcoming year we are working on some horse riding lessons for her through my first visiting teacher i had when we lived in the barn. We are super excited about this opportunity for Klaire. We are also working on some violin lessons as well.
Kreg has been in school now for a few months and we are in survival mode.
But, i have to say, his attitude this time around has been so much better, i think because of the lack of pressure his family has put on him has really made a HUGE difference. He seems MUCH more focused and less lazy about it all. He studies on his own!! He has more motivation and more determination than ive ever seen from him.
He averages about 4-5 hours of sleep a day. He rarely gets anything done around here, but im OK with that. Every moment that he's not at school or work or commuting he's with us, which is super nice. I cant wait for this part of our lives to be over with. the outcome will far outweigh the sacrifices we are having to make now.
Kreg's job is moving along smoothly as well. He just keeps plugging away and doing as he should. He's such a hard worker!
We recently became a 2 car family again. Over the period of 6 years we have mostly been a 1 car family and its been tough to pull off Kregs work schedule, Kregs school schedule, and getting Klaire to and from her school as well. Its soooooo nice having 2 cars now. I cant even describe how nice it is. We had to make those sacrifices though, and we are eternally grateful for the car being operational now.
We will hopefully be replacing the car here shortly with a newer car that's more reliable.
Klaire and i entered some items into the state fair this year!
She entered 2 paintings and a melted bead butterfly. Both paintings placed, one first place and one second place! And the beaded butterfly won first place!
I entered 2 tie dyed shirts into the professional division. One placed first and one placed second place, but since they were both in the professional division my second place was bumped. Which im totally OK with. Her and i got our winnings and had a fun time with it.
I worked at the state fair again this year. It was definitely a learning year for me. Learning how to work with family, learning how to have more humility, learning how to cope with bitchy and rude people (not meaning you Les!!lol), and learning new aspects of my job and other jobs.
It was loads of fun, we had TONS of laughing and bonding, but it was a hard year for sure. Its amazing how one persons actions can change the whole game and affect everyone else for a long time while they have been able to move on. I hope next year will be less stressful and we can easily all transition together. We will see though.
Overall, i feel like it was a good year. Kreg and i worked together like a well oiled machine. Klaire always had one of us home and she went through it like it was second nature. She did really well, and somehow our schedules all meshed together nicely.
My calling in Relief Society is going great, im really loving it!
My knitting is coming along great too, im working on perfecting some stitches and just getting down all the little tricks. Its been a challenge to learn but super fun!!
{{{TMI ALERT}}}
I just had an R.E. appt. a weeks or so ago.
My numbers are looking good. My testosterone is 19!!!! At the beginning of all of this it was over 80! So im responding well to the meds.
My periods are every 5 weeks, this is the closest to regular as ive ever been. And they are done and over in less than a week. And honestly, i don't know why women bitch about their periods. This stuff is easy peasy! Try having the periods i had, then we will talk about it.lol
My insulin is a bit high, but, i haven't been working on my diet like i used to. I just need to stop being lazy.
Im still on:
Yaz (to regulate my cycles and to avoid pregnancy while im on Spironolactone)
Spironolcatone (to lower my testosterone)
Metformin XR (for Insulin Resistance)
Fortamet (for Insulin Resistance)
Melatonin (so i can sleep)
And a diabetes vitamin health pack type thingy.
So. In total im down something like 65+ lbs from about 17 months ago. My goal is to loose another 65lbs before conceiving again. But, i don't want to wait another year. So either i kick my butt into gear now and work really hard, or i wait.
I have to loose another 30 lbs by December 17th, which im doing right now.
In December if my numbers look good, ill come off all of the meds for a few months and see what my body does. If things go well, my body keeps having periods, my weight stays down, then we will start to watch my ovulation patterns and get an idea of what my meds i need to be at that point to make conception happen.
But. This is all if things go well. So nothing is set in stone as of yet. Its just kind of "wait and see" and adjust the plan from there.
I am planning on seeing an acupuncturist in January, ive been reading some really promising studies in how it helps with infertility.
So. Thats us.
Halloween is around the corner, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas. We have an exciting few months ahead of us. I will be updating as much as i can from here on out.
