{15 WEEK APPOINTMENT}

Here are my stats as of yesterday:
Weight: 276, in 4 months of pregnancy ive gained 2lbs (pre-pregnancy was 274, i had come down from 320+ a year prior..). My goal is to keep my weight gain at a minimum, maybe 12-15 at most, it will help me avoid gestational diabetes and C/S issues.

Blood Pressure: 120/73.... Good! Alot lower than where it was at about a month ago. Ive been trying my hardest to keep it low. Taking it easy and modifying some things in my diet has helped. No need for meds at this point. Its being watched closely though.

Urine: Nice and clear!

Baby's heart rate was nice and steady... STRONG!
He/She is growing wonderfully! Measuring right on for 15 weeks.
I got to see the spine, the heart going (instead of just seeing the fluttering of the heart i could see more of the blood moving back and forth... kinda cool!), the pelvis and tail bone, the eye cavities, the nasal cavity, the 2 main bones in the arms, the little hands all formed and perfect, and a nice Buddha belly!
The baby seems pretty chill and relaxed so far, every once in a while there would be some movement and some twitching. We got a few good kicks while doing the ultrasound.
My placenta is nice and high at the top of my uterus and slightly towards the back.
Everything is looking great so far! Its hard to believe im growing a little human inside of there, its kinda cool!

Ive been a bit more emotional with this pregnancy than i was with Klaire.
I wonder if the reason i wasn't as emotional was because of everything that was going on in my life. I didn't have the time, the energy, the emotional and mental energy, and the space to really feel alot of what was going on. It was a pretty intense time for us!
And while things are still intense, its a different kind of intense. Im not having to make all of these life altering desicions in a spilt second, im not dealing with pleasing other people, im not dealing with the transitions that i had to back then.
Now, im just focusing on growing this little human, being a good mom and wife, and enjoying my life for what it is.

I think my sensitivity has caught Kreg a little off guard. He's used to me being a hard ass of sorts and being a "doer". Now, not so much!lol He is handling it like a champ though, he is such a great support to have, i love him dearly and am beyond thankful for the blessings he brings into my life. I couldn't be doing this without him.

We are transferring to the OB/GYN a little sooner than we had hoped for.
We changed insurance plans and so we will transfer on may 1. But she is supposed to be AMAZING! She is known for supporting VBAC moms and for being somewhat hands off. She is also fairly natural minded as well. So she seems like a great fit for me. I'm still nervous because she is an OB/GYN and i have alot of birth and recovery trauma left from Klaire. But im hoping i can overcome it and be OK.
I'm sad to be leaving Dr. Carter. She is such a gem! We are going to do a gender U/S on the April 27th, that will be my last appointment with her. We think i got a little peek of what The Bean may end up being! I want to shout it from the roof tops! But....... I have to wait until the 27th to be sure, it was still a wee bit early to tell for sure.lol

Kreg and i went to the library and picked up a bunch of books.lol He picked up baby care books, he is worried he forgot it all. And i picked up birthing books. Its been fun to be reading them!

We still have yet to tell anyone in Kreg's family. And we haven't told my mom yet. Neither of us are ready for that circle of insanity right now.
Honestly, i dont know when it will ever happen. We have told those who we are closest with and who have traveled this road with us and that's all we really care about at this point. We just want to enjoy this season of our life right now.
Everything is so pure, so fun, so drama free, just so lovely and great! Its making it really hard to tell those people who have a tendency to kinda "ruin it" and turn things stressful and unhappy.

I cant believe im almost at the halfway mark! Its going by soooooooo fast! I wish i could be pregnant longer.

Kreg is lining up his time off from work already.lol
He was only able to take 1 day off for Klaire's birth and then he had to trade days off with a co worker in order to bring me home from the hospital.
So he is working hard to be able to spend as much time at home with us as he can. I'm looking forward to having him there! It will be nice for sure! I think it will do him good to be able to be home with us for a little bit, he missed out on so much with Klaire's first days, weeks, and months.
With my job i will be one month shy of being able to take FMLA. They don't want to loose me so they are working with corporate to help me get at least a month of time off, maybe more, without penalizing me.

Anyhow, thats all ive got for this baby and family update!
