Im 15 weeks along today!!!
Another 5 weeks more and ill be at the halfway mark, i cant believe how fast its all flying by. Im trying to savor each moment, take it all in, and enjoy it all as much as i can.
Its been a few weeks since i last updated. My head has been in the clouds a bit lately.lol
Our life has been a little hectic as well.
Baby is getting bigger and stronger, thankfully.
My belly is slowly growing!
I have an appointment this week. So hopefully all will be well.
This will be my last appointment with my CNM, im a little sad about that because i really adore her. I was hoping to have a few more visits with her before transferring to my OB/GYN, but we unexpectedly changed to a different insurance company.
So thankfully the new OB/GYN is still in network, ill just be under her care for a little longer than i had hoped.
We also changed hospitals that i will be delivering at as well. I'm a little anxious and nervous about that, but i think i will be in good hands and a wonderful facility.
Kreg and i have been talking names lately, its been fun!
I think we have a boys name figured out finally, and we have a girls first name but no middle name as of yet. So we still have some time to get it all figured out.
My last appointment was a month ago, cant remember if i updated about that or not.....
Blood pressure seemed great! A few days later we had some scares with some extremely high blood pressures, migraines, swelling, vomiting, and dizziness. So ive been working really hard on keeping that nice and low so i dont have total bed rest and meds.
We had our second ultrasound as well, all looked great! The baby had a nice 3 chamber cord like he/she should.
We could see its little froggie legs, he/she was bouncing around and having fun in there.
Heart beat sounded nice and strong as well.
His/her head looked great, and the measurements were all right on and exactly as they should be.
I also hadn't gained any weight as well, which is good because low weight gain will help avoid another C/S and gestational diabetes. I worry that ive packed on the pounds in the last 4 weeks though, so we will see.......
Klaire has really taken to the idea of being a big sister! She has matured in leaps and bounds. She loves helping me out when im tired and talking about the baby.
There are some websites that shows the baby's development week by week, so she asks often for me to go to the websites to show her whats going on with the baby. I think its adorable that she cares! She likes me to show her the ruler so she can see how big 5" long is, and she likes for me to show her fruit that is the same size as the baby.
She likes to keep reminding us"The baby is growing its Lanugo this week!", or "The baby's eyelids are still fused, but its growing its fingernails right now!". She kills me sometimes!
She is super excited for the summer, as am i so we can all sleep in.lol
She is continuing to do well in school and church.
At first she wanted a little sister and was talking about it to all of her friends. But they quickly told her that if she has a sister things wont be as fun and little sisters are super annoying! Now shes gunning for a little brother.lol We keep telling her that no matter the gender we will still love and adore her and her sibling will be just as annoying to her regardless of its sex.lol
Kreg is doing wonderfully!
He has been the first portion of a 3 segment training for work. So his schedule has changed for the week, which is always a little hard for us to adjust to. The more time that goes by the more i realize how much i like him being on the graveyard shift.lol It works well for all of us.
He is also getting excited for the warm weather! He is itching to go to the shooting range.
I'm very proud of Kreg right now!
He has been tackling alot of stuff in his life and taking it head on. Its not been easy for him, but he/we have seen the positive change in his life that has happened and it has kept him motivated to keep taking on these issues.
I may/may not at a later time talk more about whats been going on, its been a crazy 9 months for us, and i feel the need to share how drastically things have changed for us. But.......I'm torn about putting this aspect of our lives out there, i feel the need to maintain some sense of privacy. So, for now, we will leave it that.
Kreg is doing well, better than i have ever seen him do in life. I am proud to call him my husband and see him tackle such a challenging aspect of his life. He makes me proud each day!
In other news we have been on a HUGE dejunking/cleaning spree in order to get our home ready for this wee one!
We have cleaned out the 3rd bedroom, Kreg is SUCH A PACKRAT!!!! But he did a wonderful job with only keeping what means most to him. It was hard for me to consider selling my scrapbook stuff, but it just sits there, getting unused. And with a wee babe i dont see myself breaking it all out until we are in a house.
The only things that is really left in the bedroom are Kregs reenacting trunks, simply because they cant go outside and we have no where else for them, and my sewing stuff and fabric. I plan on using up my fabric for diapers and wipes and then putting my machines away until we have a house.
Then we can move the crib, rocker, and rest of baby stuff into there.
We have also redone Klaire's room! All that we need to do now is paint it and put in new blinds!
We also redid our room as well. We have gotten rid of ALOT of unnecessary furniture and junk. I can't believe how open our rooms and home are now! We just need to paint and do the blinds.
Ive been realizing how much anxiety/stress/dread is being caused over me telling certain people in my life that im pregnant. After a good talk with my cousin i think i have it figured out though. So i just need to tell them and get it over with.
I guess my hesitation comes from the fact that they haven't been involved in my life for various amounts of time. One person hasn't been involved in my life for nearly 4 years now, and others haven't been involved for over a year.
I worry that with the news of the baby they will automatically want re-entrance back into my life and family. And i dont think a baby should change anything. The issues are still there, the problems and hurt have never been talked about or worked through. So it bothers me that i know they will see this as an opportunity to as as though nothing happened.
Anyhow, like i said, with some good and wise counsel, i think i have it figured out and i know in the end ill be ok. Its all about the boundries i set.
Anyhow.... That's all that's really going on right now. Not overly exciting!
